Jessica “Jessy” Coleman is a graduate of the Oklahoma State University, where she earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. Beginning in January 2019, Jessy will begin a second Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Jessy utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches integrated with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Behavioral Therapy principles when working with her clients. She has worked as a behavioral technician with individuals diagnosed with ASD in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for about two years and has obtained her Registered Behavior Technician Credential. Jessy has worked in several therapy settings, including a youth emergency shelter, nonprofit clinic, transitional living residence program, university counseling clinic, university success program for students with ADHD and ASD, community counseling clinic, public school, private school, and home based. Throughout these roles, she has counseled individuals and groups, primarily children and adolescents, with a range of mental health needs with a focus on social interactions. Jessy has been an advocate and a part of research committees for LGBTQ+ adults aged 50+, body image concerns and was the American Psychological Association Psychology of Women campus representative in 2016-2017.

Currently Jessy volunteers as a case manager for a transitional living program for homeless LGBTQ+ young adults. Jessy spends what spare time she finds enjoying the outdoors and community of trail running while training for ultramarathons and other endurance events.
