During the process of completing her doctoral degree, Whitney obtained a Master’s degree in Education with counseling focus and concentration in learning and developmental sciences in 2011. She completed her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Indiana University in 2015. Within university counseling, Whitney enjoyed focusing on familial and interpersonal issues and conflict, racial-identity development and challenges, and women’s issues.

She enjoys working with a diverse range of individuals, couples, and families with a wide- variety of concerns, involving identity development and racial-identity development, relationship/familial concerns and conflict, trauma, depression, major life transitions, and stress management. Whitney has a special interest in these areas, as they pertain the lives of women (especially, but not limited to those specific to African American women). Whitney interacts with clients in a compassionate and attentive manner. She thinks about her overall work with clients
