The Social Communication Connection is dedicated to serving young children with social communication disorders, and their families. From diagnosis to therapy implementation, we provide comprehensive evaluations, parent/caregiver training, educational consulting, individual therapy, and intensive therapy within a small group classroom setting. Our typical therapy targets include a combination of language, social communication, speech, classroom, and social skills. We partner with families and their community to design and implement innovative and highly individualized therapy programming to facilitate the best outcomes. Most of all though, we take a very personal approach to our services, knowing that each child with differences is a child first, and each parent of a child with special needs is a parent first. We take pride in holding the hands and hearts of these families as they take their first steps on an unexpected journey.
The Social Communication Connection (SCC) provides comprehensive speech-language evaluations, individual therapy, and small group therapy for young children (2-6 years old). Director, Michelle McFarlin, MS, CCC/SLP, also participates on interdisciplinary autism diagnostic teams.
